A three-storey, south-facing, Victorian house with a pretty, terraced, front garden, 4 Bellair Terrace has a stunning view over the harbour and St Ives bay. It is situated just above the Barbara Hepworth Museum in a traffic-free area away the hustle and bustle of the town. The town’s shops, bars and restaurants, as well as four beautiful beaches, are only a couple of minutes’ walk away.
We have an Aga cooker so the house is always warm and welcoming.

Open-plan kitchen/dining area: the kitchen area has a dining table that comfortably seats 6. There is a fridge with smaller freezer compartment. We have an Aga cooker which is switched on all year round and we have chosen not to have a traditional cooker or microwave. Don’t worry if you haven’t used an Aga before, there is a cookery book in the kitchen which explains how it works. No need to switch it on or turn it up or down. Just lift the lids to use the hobs – the left hand side is hotter than the right. The top oven is for roasting and the bottom oven for simmering.
Bedroom 1: Double bedroom, leading onto a shower room and WC.
Rear yard area: Outside the back door is a pretty little courtyard. It’s a useful place to store surfboards and other beach equipment. There is also an outside shower – don’t panic, it’s not the only washing facility and it’s really useful when the kids come off the beach covered in sand.
Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with views across the bay;
Bedroom 3: Twin 2′ beds suitable for children or small adults;
Bathroom with bath and shower over and large airing cupboard.
Bedroom 4: Double bedroom accessed via narrow staircase with views across the bay.

St Ives is a wonderful place for children. There are beaches to suit all ages and all the traditional seaside entertainment that you could wish for. However, in places there are steep slopes and steps. Properties with the best views are usually high up and Bellair Terrace is no exception. Whether you access the property from the front or back there are steps to negotiate and you may need help if you have a child in a buggy. We managed for years with twins in a double buggy but you need to be prepared for hard work.
Sorry, no dogs.
