At the centre of the house is a huge open-plan living area with a wood burning stove. Step down to comfy leather sofas in a sunken sitting area by the wood burner or for quieter moments a separate alcove, with two more sofas, is tucked away opposite the kitchen area. The large dining table makes this the perfect location for a special celebratory meal. Why not treat yourself and let a local chef provide a fully catered meal?
Flooring is hardwood throughout with under-floor heating downstairs and thermostatically controlled radiators in the 5 upstairs bedrooms (two are ensuite). The 6th bedroom is downstairs. The living area extends to the outdoors with large patio doors all along the South side of the house. Step down to a large wooden deck which has a 4 metre diameter hexagonal seasonally heated swimming pool sunk in to it and a Gas BBQ. Relax on sun loungers or enjoy al fresco dining round a large outdoor table.
Stratton is a picturesque historic village with good local facilities including a couple of pubs and nearby Bude has a good selection of independent shops and offers a large variety of cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Bude has two expansive sandy beaches, excellent surf, an outdoor swimming pool and rock pools to explore. Many more beautiful beaches are easily accessed to the north and south along the rugged North Cornish coastline. They are all linked by fabulous stretches of the South West coast path which provides excellent walking opportunities.
