St Ives is a popular holiday town in Cornwall and many old properties near the harbour, formerly used by the fishing industry, have been converted into neat holiday apartments and comfortable lofts. A little further up the hill are many elegant Victorian terrace flat conversions.

Purpose-built, modern apartments can be found in select areas of St Ives and in the popular village of Carbis Bay, just a mile further south around the bay.
