Welcome to Oystercatcher
Oystercatcher sits in the dunes behind one of the UK’s most spectacular golden beaches. It’s enchanting yet simple, the charm perhaps that it is ‘just’ a beach house, painted with love in restful pastel colours and tones, and decorated with care and attention. There’s original art on the wall, designer cushions and throws on the sofa and chairs, and local pottery and ceramics in the cupboards.

There’s all the practical stuff too: toaster, microwave, Smeg fridge with freezer compartment, cooker with grill and oven, cafetiere, teapot, WiFi, TV, DVD player, radio with ipod doc. Outside there’s a deck with a table and chairs, and a safe family environment for young children to explore. Within a few metres there are hundreds of paths between the dunes and the beach where kids can run around.

About the Area
Gwithian Sands is a quiet, friendly and respectful place to enjoy the summer sunshine and amazing coast. This is a wonderful area to walk and our welcome pack comes with details of four walks from the chalet (from 3hrs to a full day).

It’s a fairly low maintenance lifestyle, the type of place where you can kick your shoes off and walk to the surf (which we do all the time) a mere 15-20 minute walk to the beach through the dunes. It’s wonderful for morning jogs and runs through the dunes and along the beach, but there are heaps of other activities nearby including bouldering, kayaking, kite surfing, horse riding, and cycling.
