To the front of the property the drive provides parking for up to 3 cars. The main entrance opens on to a separate lobby leading to a spacious hallway off which are a study with wool carpet, a spacious cloakroom with toilet and hand-basin and a curved staircase to the first floor. The hall also has a door to the spacious, L-shaped, open-plan, ground floor living space. There is a designated cosy living space complete with a log burner, corner sofa and a curved 50” LED television. This area has contemporary, sliding doors with cream shutters opening onto the south-facing courtyard garden. The adjacent dining area has a large, Laura Ashley distressed cream and oak table with 8 chairs and a dresser and moveable butcher’s block. Sliding doors lead onto a light and airy, double-height conservatory with velux windows in the roof. The floor to ceiling glass windows and doors in the conservatory ensure that the property is flooded with light. Contemporary, sliding doors lead out onto a pretty, private courtyard with slate patio, pebble and slate features and a table and chairs. The painted cream, solid oak kitchen has excellent storage with a breakfast bar and built-in larder unit. There is a Smeg stainless steel double oven, Smeg combi microwave/plate warmer, induction hob, integrated dishwasher, and an integrated fridge-freezer. There is a window to the front of the property with bespoke, cream shutters. There is a washing machine and dryer in the adjoining utility room. The ground floor is tiled in graphite slate with underfloor heating. There is a large storage cupboard on the ground floor ideal for storing shoes, coats, surfing and swimming equipment.
From the hall, a curved staircase leads to the master bedroom with a super king-size bed, built in wardrobes, painted grey oak furniture, a 32” LED TV and French doors which open to overlook the south-facing conservatory. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room complete with a walk-in rain shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have double beds, oak furniture and respectively 42” and 40” TVs. Bedroom 4 has twin beds and oak furniture. There is a stunning, contemporary bathroom with a raised, free-standing bath, hand-held shower, triple LED mirror cabinet and built in furniture.
Unlimited broadband and Wifi is provided. Topaz is a no-smoking property.
Topaz is close to many of Cornwall’s unique attractions including St Ives, Paradise Park, Tate St Ives and St Michael’s Mount in Marazion. Within a 10-minute walk of the property you will find West Cornwall Shopping Park with retailers including Costa, Marks and Spencer, Next and Boots.
Hayle’s 3 miles of golden sands are within a 15-minute walk, providing the perfect base for water sports including surfing, snorkelling, diving and sailing. The subtropical King George V Memorial Walk, with its amazing display of flowers and plants, is just a 5-minute walk from the property through the nature reserve. For surfers, Gwithian is within a 5-minute drive from the property. This 3-mile-long beach is a surfer’s paradise where you can hire wetsuits, surf boards and take lessons from one of the local surf schools. For a relaxing day on the beach, you could also try Hayle Towans Beach and Godrevy Beach, perfect for exploring the rock pools and seal-spotting. The popular seaside town of St Ives is just 10 minutes by car. Alternatively, you might decide to enjoy the seasonal park and float from Hayle harbour into St Ives.
Hayle town’s harbour and townscape were granted World Heritage Site status in 2006 and it was the first town in Cornwall to be awarded “Walkers Are Welcome” status, which means the footpaths and trails are well maintained and well-marked. With vast expanses of countryside around, it’s an ideal place for peaceful, countryside walks.
Hayle’s wide estuary, managed by the RSPB and the UK’s most south-westerly, is a stopping off point for migratory birds.
