Granny’s is an attractive and unique two-storey fisherman’s cottage right in the heart of old St Ives within two minutes’ walk of the town centre, the Harbour, the Tate Gallery and Porthmeor Beach.
Originally built in 1851, much of Granny’s character has been retained with its open beams and cosy sitting room. The reverse-level accommodation has a well-equipped kitchen, light and airy bedrooms, a recently refurbished bathroom and a pleasant reception area. Granny’s is ideal for couples and families – a well presented, comfortable cottage with character in a great location. Convenience shop nearby.

Stairs lead down to the open-plan living area which is divided by the stairs. To the right is the lounge with flatscreen TV, DVD/CD player, sofa and armchairs comfortably seating 4, and to the left the kitchen-diner with a cosy and intimate dining area with bench seating for 4. A doorway leads to the bathroom with bath and shower over, and a wash basin. There is a separate toilet.
Three steps from the lounge lead up to a stable door which gives on to a cobbled pathway at the side of the cottage.
Bed linen is supplied free – duvet cover, bottom sheet and pillow-cases. Please bring your own towels.
Electric cooker, fridge, microwave, ironing board, iron.
The nearest long-stay council car park is The Island, then Barnoon, Park Avenue and lastly Trenwith.
Please bring your own equipment – cots and highchairs are not supplied.
Granny’s is a non-smoking property.
Granny’s Cottage is accessed by steep steps and is on two levels so is not suitable for the physically disabled. Due to the age of the cottage there is limited headroom if standing in the shower over the bath for those over 6ft tall – base of bath to ceiling = 182 cm/ 71.5 in.
