Transport and Car Parking
St Ives can
be reached by rail as well as road, and has a frequent bus service to and
from Penzance.
Motorists are advised to use the car parks on the town's outskirts during
peak tourist times, they are well signposted, or alternatively the Park
and Ride service from Lelant, two miles outside St Ives, which provides
spectacular views along the bay. The trains run several times a day to Penzance,
and more frequently with a change of train at St Erth. Penzance is the last
station on the main line from London Paddington. |
