Porthtowan Porthtowan is a quiet surfing beach with a social life of it's own. A lovely tucked away tidal swimming pool to be discovered by the family. The surfing centres around the Blue Beach Bar & Brasserie and the little parade of shops. There is one big pub and a selection of accommodation in the village. Newquay Newquay is the UK's Surf City. Fistral Beach and to the north Watergate Bay are the best known. However a whole range of of other beaches both in the town and up and down the coast provide a huge range of water sport activities.
